Adding & Removing Devices

This section covers how a Device can be added and removed from a CloudLink network.

Adding a Device

A Device is automatically added to the CloudLink network after an Agent has been installed.

• IP Address: The network IP address will be automatically assigned. The IP address assigned is listed in the "Device" table in the CloudLink section.
• Connection: The Agent will automatically establish a connection to network.

Removing a Device

Once a device has been removed from the project it will also automatically be removed from the CloudLink network.

DANGER

Removing a device cannot be undone and all data associated with the device will be removed.

Handling of relays

Relays associated to the device will be handled in the following way:

• Any installed relays will begin to transition to uninstalled within several minutes.
• Any installing relays will eventually transition to uninstalled, typically within ten minutes.
• Any uninstalling relays will eventually transition to uninstalled, typically within ten minutes.

If any relays had a status of installed or installing at the time of deletion, then the following will also occur:

• A new network configuration will be propagated to all other agents, informing them that the relays attached to the deleted device are no longer available.
• All Wireguard Peers will appear in CloudLink with an alert, indicating that their configurations need re-downloading.

A network re-configuration will not occur if the device had no relays present.
