What is mutexer

Mutexer is a powerful cloud based software that allows any device to run hard real time code suitable for industrial applications.

Code can be deployed directly from the cloud, enhanced by large language models, cloud storage and compute.

The high-level broad features of the mutexer platform are listed below.

Launchpad

Launchpad is cloud based integrated development environment (IDE) focused on industrial automation applications.

It supports Python and Structured Text programming languages and can remotely deploy code to any device anywhere.

Launchpad is made up of three key parts.

Agents are programs that run natively on devices and control and monitor sub-programs.

File editor that allows creating, viewing, editing files.

Deployment pipeline that pushes programs and files from the cloud do the device.

TIP

Launchpad supports deploying code that is hard real time. This makes it suitable for machine control, process automation and robotics where tight time constraints are required.

Cloudlink is a VPN remote access system that allows all sorts of devices, on prem or in the cloud, to be networked together. It is very lightweight, fast and highly reliable. It's based on wireguard and provides a very simple way to setup what would normally be very complex.

TIP

Devices on Cloudlink can be setup as relays to allow local network access to other peers. In effect acting as a passthrough for local traffic to the cloud and beyond.

Atlas

Atlas creates on demand Virtual Machines (VMs) hosted in the mutexer cloud. Various configurations are available.

TIP

Atlas VMs when used in conjunction with Cloudlink and Launchpad provide a powerful remote compute backbone. This can free up physical devices to focus on hard realtime compute locally, while the VMs can churn through the workloads remotely.

Gravity

Gravity is a petabyte scale storage cluster hosted on the mutexer cloud. It's used to store project data, device telemetry and much more. It's highly reliable, extremely fast and easily accessible with any need for APIs or protocols.

TIP

Devices push data every cycle to Gravity. Therefore, every possible event is captured. This extreme resolution allows for a unique world-first ability to reconstruct exact digital twin representations.
